Overall, I am fairly happy with my apartment. There is one thing though that is always bothering me and I finally got it on tape last night. (quicktime 7 required)

apparently the aerodynamics of the room causes this massive vacuum through a vent just above the kitchen when any windows are open...thus causing what you're seeing in the video. it happens almost every day and for the longest time I'd hear the sound, turn around and could NEVER figure out what was causing the banging.

The weird thing is that it didn't happen for like the first 3 months.
This adds to my History of Reading story with the zombies eating people and the samurai coming down from the mysterious pagoda in the hills to save the day. Now there are ghosts and crazy vacuums in space above kitchens. Just like the hidden stairwell in the chicks apartment in ghostbusters!
